Sean Zierer is an Illinois native, born in 1992. He received his Associates in Art from Waubonsee Community College in 2014; in 2017 he graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Studio Art: Design & Media Arts, with a focus in photography.

Sean’s work pulls from a sense of exploration that was developed through his rural country roots, and a curiosity for the urban as a result of moving to a suburban environment. Investigating experimental lighting and abstraction within composition, Sean seeks to understand shape and form within the world. In recent work, he has sought to uncover personal topics, opening himself up to working with people both in staged as well as raw, unscripted moments.
